Zentra’s Teacher Training Program is adapted to fit everyone's schedule, interests, and learning pace. After years of training and practice, we realized that each individual has their own ability, rhythm, capacity, desires, and interest. Our course is designed to meet the unique needs of our students. Because Yoga Teacher Training requires time for proper assimilation, we have created a system that will give you, a future yoga teacher, space to refine your teaching ability.
At Zentra, we give all the support, knowledge, and guidance needed to develop you as a teacher so that you feel knowledgeable, confident, motivated, and excited to share the Science of Yoga.
As our teacher, Swami Satyananda Saraswati wrote, "Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion; it is the most valuable inheritance of the present. It is the essential need of today and the culture of tomorrow."
Frankly, we believe that yoga will be an important part of tomorrow’s culture. For this reason, we want to train adequate, knowledgeable, and motivated teachers who are ready to selflessly give to their community and help us build a brighter future - together.
Are there any prerequisites for taking the teacher training course?
We encourage interested students to attend our regular classes as much as possible to better their understanding of the Zentra Yoga style and philosophies. However, everyone is still welcome to register for the teacher training, even if it’s your first time at Zentra.
Is there a specific or required course sequence?
Most of the modules can be taken separately at any stage, but we do advise a sequence for some of the courses. For instance, it is preferable that you take Yoga Study 1 before taking Yoga Study 2.
Can each course be taken more than once?
Yes, the module can be re-taken as many times as you want, and we are happy to offer the course to you at a 50% discount. (Many students decide to re-take a certain module, especially if they have been teaching for a few years since their teacher training completed.)
Will I get a recording of each session?
Yes. After each session of training, you will receive a link to a recording of the class (either an audio recording, a video recording, or both). The download link will be available to you for one month after it is posted.
Can I buy a recorded version of a course that has already been given?
Yes, definitely. In fact, there are many advantages to taking a recorded version of our courses: first, you can accelerate your study if you feel ready to take it all in, all at the convenience of your own schedule. Also, if you have already taken the course before, you can learn a lot from taking the course again with a fresh perspective. The teachers will always express and share their knowledge in a different way each time they teach the course. Taking the course again via recording is a convenient way to reconnect with the teachings in a new way.
